Kat joined CFE in May 2018. Prior to her position as legal fellow, she worked at Pace Law School as the environmental law graduate research fellow and as an intern with the Pace Environmental Litigation Clinic. Kat received a J.D. and certificate in Environmental Law from Pace Law School in 2017, graduating summa cum laude. At Pace, she served as the research and writing editor of the Pace Environmental Law Review and as president of the Environmental Law Society. She also received an M.E.M. from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies in 2017, where she was named a Wyss Scholar for Conservation in the American West. She is a member of the New York City Environmental Law Leadership Institute Class of 2018.
Kat has devoted her studies and career to conservation, including internships with Our Children’s Trust, Trustees for Alaska, Cascadia Wildlands, and the Friends of Animals Wildlife Law Program. She received her B.A. in Environmental Studies and Biology, with honors, from Lewis & Clark College in 2011. She enjoys hiking and running with her rescue dog, knitting, and spending hours experimenting in the kitchen.
